The VI CAEMP gets postponed
The VI Business Arbitration Competition (CAEMP), in which the UFSC Team would participate on May 22, 23 and 24, 2020, was postponed due to COVID-19. This year’s rounds have been suspended and postponed to 2021. The calendar with all stages has not yet been released but the Team is still preparing for next year’s competition.
The UFSC Team attends the XII CBAr Curitiba Pre-Moot
On March 13 and 14, Team UFSC participated in the XII CBAr Curitiba Pre-Moot, another preparatory event for the traditional Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot) competition. The event was hosted by Positivo University and was a great learning opportunity for Mooties. The UFSC Team attends the III Rio Pre-Moot Camp and the VIII Rio Pre-Moot
On March 6, 7 and 8 the UFSC Team participated in the III Rio Pre-Moot Camp and the VIII Rio Pre-Moot in Rio de Janeiro. The III Rio Pre-Moot Camp had a day of workshops designed to train Mooties with better Moot Courts techniques. The team was instructed in ways to assemble speeches, speaking and behaving techniques before the court as well as classes with a speech therapist and a theater producer. The last two days were at the VIII Rio Pre-Moot, a preparatory event for Vis Moot, based at Trench Rossi Watanabe. The UFSC Team attends the 11th Pre-Moot in São Paulo
On February 15 and 16, 2020, Team UFSC went to the 11th Pre-Moot, a preparatory event for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot) competition. The event, promoted by the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CAM-CCBC), was hosted in São Paulo by the Cescon Barrieu office and was attended by 36 teams from all over Brazil.
